Client: Johnson City Eye Surgery Center
SCOPE: Patient care expansion and interior modernization
FOCUS: Improved patient experience, workflow efficiency, and staff support
With an aging population driving increased patient volume, growth was necessary. At the same time, they wanted to modernize the patient experience and improve operational flow.
The existing space created real challenges:
- Tight corridors restricted movement
- Insufficient seating — especially problematic for elderly patients
- Limited recovery capacity
- Inadequate staff space
For the new space to succeed:
- Furniture needed to support quick patient turnover.
- Waiting areas had to be comfortable and accessible.
- Staff required additional office space and a dedicated breakroom.
- Finishes had to be durable and healthcare-grade for high-traffic use.
